Here it is, my last Bald Eagle photo of the season. I think they will be heading back north soon. I must say, however, that I am starting to think the Bald Eagles might start nesting in NH more frequently. This was my last stakeout on the river, though. I might stumble on them again. This was by far the most Bald Eagles I have ever seen in one Winter. I would say at least 6 individuals were consistently seen in one small patch of the Merrimack River as opposed to the 1 regular individual 5 years ago.
With April starting, I am looking for the Eastern Phoebes any day now. Robins will be seen in huge numbers patrolling for earthworms in the abundant mud. Blackbirds are back. I think in about a month there will be Towhees and Warblers. The Spring birding season is about to begin!
