Out of almost every area of brush lately there has come an explosion of these guys, the White-throated Sparrow. They are my favorites, of course.
You can see some near feeders year round but they do seem to be most populous during the fall migration. This is a handsome specimen.
I don't know what they find on the ground. It must be good because there are tons of them and they seem pretty healthy.

One of the highlights of the Fall migration is the abundance of Palm Warblers heading back south. The rusty red cap, yellow highlights, and nervous tail twitches are a welcome sight.
